Kantha Quilt Prune

Our organic cotton Kantha quilts (200 x 140 cm) are created from the fabric scraps of our scarves. Originally from eastern India, Kantha is the art of recycling saris, assembling them to make a blanket. In order for the layers to hold together, the women then stitch the saris in straight stitch, in a line. Each of our kantha is a unique creation, made from pieces of organic cotton from our collections and layered together. The embroidery is then done by hand in the pure tradition. We currently have three different colour tones but we will propose new creations regularly.
